Padmanabhapuram

Padmanabhapuram, the erstwhile capital of Venad, is a scenic town situated 45 km north of Kanyakumari, in Tamil Nadu. Numerous trees, hillocks and rivers dotting its terrain add to the scenic bliss. This town is mainly famous for the Padmanabhapuram Palace, which was once the seat of Travancore kings. Padmanabhapuram is located 2 km east of Thuckalay and 55 km south-east of Thiruvananthapuram.


Nearest airport is Trivandrum International Airport (65 km). Nagercoil Junction Railway Station is the nearest major railway station.
